Praised for her warm, versatile voice and dynamic acting skill, Becca Allen is a mezzo-soprano based in Boston, MA. ​Her recent engagements include Bradamante (Alcina ), Sesto (La clemenza di Tito ), Carmen (Carmen ), Jo, Meg, and Cecelia March (Little Women ), The Narrator/Mysterious Man (Into the Woods ), Hucklebee (The Fantasticks ), among others.

She can next be seen as Bradamante in MassOpera's Alcina.

Becca was named a District Encouragement Award winner in the 2024 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, a finalist in Boston University's 2024 Soloist Competition, and a 2024 Departmental Award winner by BU’s prestigious Opera Institute.

Becca has performed numerous choral and orchestral works, with highlights such as the Alto soloist in Mozart’s Missa Brevis in F Major with Boston’s acclaimed Church of the Advent choir, as well as an Alto soloist for Mozart’s Requiem in D minor with BU’s Chamber Orchestra and Symphonic Chorus. In December 2024, she made her Handel's Messiah debut with two engagements: making her BSO debut with the Handel and Haydn Society chorus under the baton of Jonathan Cohen and as the Alto soloist with the First Church in Chestnut Hill Quartet.​

She has had the privilege to be included in several premieres of new work and recording projects from such composers as Joan Tower and Roxanne Winslow, as well as her own work recording in Folk and Irish styles. ​​

Becca received a Performance Diploma from Boston University and her Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology and a Minor Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Redlands.

Between roles, Becca can be heard as the Alto soloist in the First Church in Chestnut Hill's weekly operatic quartet and seasonal concerts.
